Our children are growing up in a world where our relationship with the earth is becoming more and more critical. As a school, we consider it our responsibility to both reduce our ecological footprint and educate your child about how we can better care for the earth, and become ethical global citizens.

Recycling and our kitchen garden

Children are encouraged to recycle, and there are collection points at school for 10 cent drink containers. Proceeds support our kitchen garden, which is a key learning area that teaches children about sustainability and healthy food.

Maximising our energy needs

We have a solar energy system on two of our buildings and integrate the ability to monitor energy efficiencies so that they can be part of our classroom activities.

Our Preschool and Emmaus Performing Arts Centre have a reticulated water system that uses captured rain water to supply water to the bathrooms as well as the children’s water play fountain.
